The vibe and atmosphere was what you'd hope for - no notes! The location is really unique and fun. Service was super kind and attentive. I love the focus on community and local products - however, the food was not everything I hoped it would be. The drinks made up for it, though! I'd say this is a great place for drinks + apps. I'm still planning on going back and will give dinner service another shot!

Visiting Coriander transports you into another world- through the winding roads and canals you will find a sanctuary of great flavors and good vibes! The ambiance and decor is whimsical, relaxing, and intriguing. the staff is friendly and informative. the food is innovative and fresh (and local)! I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are looking to spend some time here snacking, relaxing, watching the water go by and enjoying an exquisite cocktail! p.s. they also host great events, so keep an eye out for when the might be having a local art fair in addition to serving fab food! the only downside is parking, their lot is small and street parking can get full quickly, especially during events.

This might be the best place for lunch in the summer. I was seated outside by the canal and it was beautiful! Our service was excellent and the staff were very friendly. I got the BLT. I love that they use Marrow meat products. The heirloom tomatoes were so fresh. But the star was the beet mojito. If you want something fresh to drink, I can't recommend it enough. I will be back for that mojito alone.

Great venue - Indoor, outdoor and patio. They need to get a new system for their check in and waiting list. This caused a lot of confusion and put the responsibility on the patrons to keep checking and validating if our name was called or not. The food was touted as fresh and with the price tag, I'd hope so! The hush puppies and pretzel were the best options. The burger and kimchi Rueben were underwhelming but not horrible.

We arrived right at 5pm since we were not able to make reservations online and am very happy we did. It got crowded very quickly. The wait staff was very attentive, made great suggestions and did not make us feel rushed. Service was Excellent. It was calming to sit near the canal while we enjoyed dinner too. My favorite was the fish and chips, highly recommend! I also enjoyed the Turkey Ruben, minus the kimchi (too spicy for me). We also had the Saag but wasn't too impressed. We also enjoyed the whitefish dip and would order it again.

Wow what a long wait. 2.5 hours - we were told it would be at least 1.5. So thankfully it was a beautiful night out and we did have a place to sit and have drinks while we waited. The ambience of Coriander was incredible for a warm summer night. Views of the canal, tables with orange and white striped sun umbrellas, and an overall good vibe. The service, once we sat, was good. But we also were told the kitchen was closing at 9pm. So we had to order quickly. The food itself was pretty tasty, but the menu was more limited than I would've preferred. They were of of a lot of things, partly because of the late time and partly because some items they just didn't have available all day. Overall a nice evening and I would come back, but probably only if I had a reservation.

Off Jefferson, you drive down a unique Detroit neighborhood to find this old marina turned into a restaurant. Done Al fresco outside in a funky garden area where herbs are growing and drying. Menu is simple, affordable, and fresh! (Have their own farm.) Drinks have unique herbal influences. Dessert was tasty. Good beer and wine choices also. We shared an outside table with another couple overlooking the dock. Watched boats come and go and enjoyed the summer night . Have gender neutral bathrooms- also designated as men/ woman. Can do vegan and other dietary accomodations. Will be back!

We went to a wedding reception here, and it was great!! The drinks were yummy, they were locally sourced for a lot of the ingredients and they garnished some with flowers which was such a cute touch (the boys didn't particularly like them haha). The food was delicious, no pictures because I was in the moment but there was a salad, potatoes, green beans, brisket, chicken, and bread, sauces. Really good! Their menu is seasonal so it's always different! The restaurant is so beautiful, unique, and eclectic! Situated along the canal, it was converted from an old fishing marina. You will never get bored looking at all the interesting decorations, and may even find your next home improvement project! The service was very friendly and nice, each of them was sweet and attentive. The bartender was patient and talkative, teaching us how they make the cocktails.

What an interesting spot located on a canal. Friendly service on a Sunday we had about a 30 minute wait. We ended up sitting at the bar so it was a little quicker. The bartender was friendly and patient. The food was fine. Jalapeño hush puppies were missing a bite but so crispy and light. I ordered the smoke beet salad but it was very heavy on blue cheese which over powered the smoke. If you like sitting outside this is your spot. So many seating options.
